THE ART OF THE GHAZAL – A Workshop for Beginners
In collaboration with Lampshade Writers
Two lines. A thought. A world.
Join us for a fun, engaging evening exploring the beauty of the ghazal, a poetic art form rooted in Persian and Urdu traditions.
Discover its structure and key elements - sher, matla, maqta, radeef and qaafiya — while exploring the rhythm and lyrical beauty that make ghazals unique.
Try your hand at writing your own sher in Hindi, Urdu, English, or any language that speaks to you.
No prior experience needed. No language barrier. Just bring your curiosity!
